... the announcers kept crying about its why they're doing so bad was because he was out. But... it wasn't his backup lol. HIS BACK UP posted better PFF Grades than the rest of the STARTERS on the Oline. lol

Last time I checked, we played without our starting LT too

Williams went out the first series last week and the Niners still put up over 40. The difference this week was a step up in defensive weight class.

Trent Williams is not just a starting tackle, he's one of the best linemen in football. Of course the 49ers missed him. Why wouldn't the announcers point that out? They did say that Cross was out, too, but that's not as big of a factor as not having Williams.

That 49ers team was decimated by injuries. Safe to say that it's a much closer game if they had their full squad.

Part of the game…but, they were definitely missing their guys.

We still win regardless. Although the Niners can eat a big fat xxxXxx (Snoop Dogg line from F with Dre Day song), they’ve done quite well for missing Bosa, Warner, Aiyuk, etc…pains me to say it but that’s reality.

Window is closing…may be closed.

Williams is the gel that holds that line together. Check out the 49ers record with and without him. His presence was missed. Hopefully he can be back next week

But Williams doesn’t play run defense

This is just flat out wrong. Austin Pleasants posted the WORST grade on the entire offense at 38.7

Is he a hall of famer as well ?
Well he is a 3rd year guy so…..no. He may well become a HOF guy - he is pretty damn good.

I did like the way Aikman put the Williams absence though. It went Something like this - the difference between a regular starting LT and his back up is significant - when it is Williams the difference is vast.

Especially when facing the best d line in the league. 49ers lost their swing tackle to FA this offseason . Williams always misses a game or two each season and they were lucky to have him each game until then

No but he was a pro bowler . Cross should probably start there 😉
Well if other teams would stop pouching our OC's and us firing them as well we might have something that resembles what the 49ers have had on offense. much easier to excel when blocking techniques and assignments stay the same year in and year out.

Same on the defensive side, you would understand that aspect, New DC and OC let players go that don't fit their system, not that those players are bad.
