So are our boys in green holding their own this season?

We'll make the playoffs....as usual. What we do from there is anyone's guess.

We have the talent to win it all. Just matters if we hit our form at the right time.

Frustrating match, reminded me of the first couple of years of Sounder's soccer.............where we'd have triple the shots on goal every match but could never finish.

Yesterday's match was a microcosm of why Neagle will never be a good player, horrible touches and can't finish. I counted four perfect opportunities, every one right at Penedo.

Also still mess in the midfield, revolving door of young players isn't resulting in quality. When Oba has to come all the way back to Ozzie just to get a touch, that's a big ass red flag.

1. Match was frustrating. But we had our best attacking game of the season.

In a game lost 1-0...

Soccer sucks sometimes

Indeed. Had Neagle brought his finishing boots last week we would have won 4-1.

Doesn't matter, last weeks offensive performance carried over to today. Neagle with 2, Martins with a world class touch and goal. Service was really good from the midfield tonight too.

Brad Evans is starting to look like a centerback playing centerback instead of a midfielder playing centerback which is a nice change to see. He is progressing. Not as fast as many fans want, but he's improving. Decision making is getting better. Positioning too.

Good good. Kansas City looked good against the Galaxy tonight.

Guess I owe Neagle an apology. 2nd goal was slop, but first goal was a great finish.

If Oba doesn't win goal of the year with that first touch the MLS needs to get the death blow.

I was watching live and had to rewind it because I didn't want to wait for replay to see how Obafemi pulled that off.

This Goal was on TV in IRELAND on Sunday night as one of the Goals of the Season....

I work in Portland, so there is no escape from that odor for me.

Sounders have reportedly offered Jordan Morris the most lucrative contract for an MLS homegrown player yet.

Morris said he still plans on finishing college, which puts us at 2016 before he'd be here............still though to think the most highly rated young USMNT talent is a Sounder is exciting. Hopefully he accepts the offer.

Chad Marshall has been suspended for the next match.

Marshall was suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his late challenge on the Rapids' Vicente Sánchez in the 13th minute of the same game (VIDEO). The play was deemed serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent.

Can't say I'm surprised. He was lucky to only get a yellow in the first place.

Good to see Sarvas was also suspended for stepping on Dempsey's junk.

Garber held a press conference today, not much of note except this stood out to me;

Garber: "In the next 6 months, we have to develop a plan with our ownership for when we go further than 24 teams. Because we will."

It's always puzzled me that Garber and the owners are so hell bent on expansion. Is it because they want to money grub as many franchise fees before this hits critical mass?

IMO it makes more sense to have LESS clubs in a league where all the clubs draw 25k+, have great fanbases and are financially stable enough to each afford at least two high priced DP's..........than a 20-30 club league with bottom dwelling financially struggling franchises pulling the cap down.
