Off to the Mid west for a NL matchup...

Probables:

Fri: Bryce Miller RHP (10-8, 3.30 ERA, 147 SO) vs Erick Fedde RHP (8-8, 3.43 ERA, 137 SO)

Sat: Logan Gilbert RHP (7-10, 3.19 ERA, 181 SO) vs Kyle Gibson RHP (8-6, 4.39 ERA, 134 SO)

Sun: Luis Castill RHP (11-12, 3.60 ERA, 172 SO) vs Miles Mikolas RHP (8-10, 5.27 ERA, 107 SO)

Pretty evenly matched by record. Callenge at the end of a long road trip.

Good win tonight. Miller goes 6 scoreless, bullpen gives up 1 run, but offense comes thru late to cap a game that was close through 8 innings. Hope springs eternal. :)

If I'm Gilbert I'm requesting a trade. Felix all over again. Why would anyone want to pitch for this franchise?

Let me try this again since it seemed to confuse you the first time.

"Look at their Home/Away splits. Every single one of our starting pitchers has much better numbers at home than on the road. They'd be pretty dumb to start requesting or demanding trades. T-Mobile has benefitted these guys quite a bit, and makes them look better than they really are."

Logan Gilbert ERA at T-Mobile Park - 2.35
Logan Gilbert ERA not at T-Mobile Park - 3.95
That's a HUGE difference.

Yes, Logan would probably have more wins if he went to a team with a better offense, but the rest of his numbers would almost certainly not be as good as they are with the benefit of pitching half of his games in T-Mobile Park. And here's the thing, most people that have any semblance of a clue have come around to the fact that win/loss record for pitchers in baseball is one of the most meaningless stats in sports. Literally half of the game is completely out of the hands of a starting pitcher. More than half if they're not throwing a complete game.

He's a Cy Young candidate pitching for the M's. He probably isn't in a different home ballpark, based on his home/away splits.

Why would anyone want to play for this franchise.

TBH why would anyone want to watch or even be a fan of this team.
