Here we go. The final matchup, unless we squeak into the playoffs somehow...

Probables:

Mon: Bryce Miller RHP (11-8, 3.06 ERA, 166 SO) vs Hunter Brown RHP (11-8, 3.57 ERA, 171 SO)

Tue: TBD vs Framber Valdez (14-7, 2.85 ERA, 165 SO)

Wed: TBD vs Yusei Kikuchi LHP (9-9, 4.19 ERA, 198 SO)

Apparently waiting on Castillo's situation. We'll see.

Julio's stats at home: .241 AVG, .292 OBP, .662 OPS.
On road: .300, .356, .800.
It's the stadium and early season weather in Seattle that contributes to this I guarantee it.

Good win tonight. Nail biter through 7, but piled on in the 8th. Miller was aces until that rough 7th inning, but came through in the end.

Wish they could have done shit like that in June. :(

Sunday was the ultimate gut punch. Had a 5-0 lead, all the teams they needed to lose did etc. Brutal

The offense had their chances, but having Garver and JP back to back in the lineup just killed us tonight.

This team needs to upgrade the entire infield and the DH to even have a chance of being a mediocre offense next season. I have zero faith that they will.

No, not completely but it doesn't help, of course.

The really sad part is that we have the tie breaker over the 'Stros. 🤦‍♂️

They clinched the division tonight though, so all we have to play
for is a wildcard….right?

I admire you Mariner fans who hung on till the end. When they lost that 10 game lead to the Stros near the all-star break, I was fading heavily. By the trade deadline I was gone besides gazing at the box score and the standings with the bare minimum of emotional investment. Why do it to myself? I all but knew where it was going to end up.

Glad I made that call for the mental health department.

This ownership doesn't care about championships. We knew that, if we didn't know it already, after that playoff run two seasons ago. If they weren't going to push the chips in then, they were never going to.

Same old Mariners.
