This is the first time as a Seahawks fan that I have had this feeling. I have been a fan for all of them since 1976. In the past when the Seahawks have made the playoffs I have felt the following emotions, excitement, relief, anxiety, and nervousness. Each and every time I felt hopeful that they could go all the way even if in my gut I would just be content to be invited to the party. Even in the super bowl year I was hopeful and excited to experience something as a Seahawks fan that I never had.
This year is different. I have a peaceful confidence that no matter what happens this is just the beginning of a long road of success. I have a sense, like a warm blanket that this year is and will continue to be something special. I have never before as a Seahawks fan had such a feeling of...confidence. I like it!
