Just seems odd. 2nd highest pass block win rate in the league, but somehow the 3rd worst pass blocking line? Add to that all the different sources that rank OLines have them at least in the top half of the league, if not top 10, and if you read the analysis it's not because of their run blocking.
Movie is over but I’m not just motivated to check it out. I know Hawkblogger, seaside Joe, Dan Viens and other all posted stuff about it and specially talked about the interior of their line being bad. Hell we watched it in the Seattle game. Darnold was constantly under pressure and made all kinds of plays.

If he was capable, it would’ve been done with that very strong Minny team.

I’m in the start Howell, draft a guy category
I am leaning toward that direction now too. Cap space is precious for a team trying to turn it around. I mean better drafting helps too but really can't overpay for average players on the free agent market.

Has anyone really put together that Sam Darnold knows the offense that Kubiak is putting in place? Has anyone thought about the fact that Darnold had his best year as a QB the year after he worked with Kubiak in San Francisco? Why does it seem like folks here would rather tear down a guy that is younger and has more potential than the guy we just traded?

I mean, hell, if we did a blind test on stats alone, I'm sure many of you would pick the younger guy with more experience with our new OC over an older guy with and penchant to throw INTs in the RedZone. Some of the arguments just don't hold water.

I'm just gonna sit back with my 🍿 and watch for the entertainment. I'm excited to see a WCO offense with ZBS operate here in Seattle. K9, Charbs, JSN and DK (if he's still here) are going to have a damned good time.

Am i the only one that think signing Darnold has so much potential to blow up in our face? He went 14-2 with the Vikings and they are gonna let him walk...why would that be? JJ Mcarthy is a ? but they are still gonna let Darnold go. Imo its telling...people thinking Darnold will sign for 25 to 35 mill are nuts.

Because they like Mccarthy, spent huge draft capital on him and he's cheap?

Do we have a JJ Mccarthy? Is there a JJ Mccarthy in the draft that we could choose?

If so, this is a relevant point

Minnesota's offensive line was just as bad as ours

Seattle's roster for 2025 isn't set. If they can sign him at a reasonable price, couldn't they (potentially)use their cap space, draft capital, put Sam in a similar situation to what he was in last year and replicate his success?

It's a path to consider.

If PFF rated them almost the same how was Geno much better? PFF supposedly factors situational stuff in as well.

I get it he’s had one great year so you guys may be right. When I watched him I saw him make multiple plays that I didn’t think Geno would make in the same situation. Even in the Seattle game he broke our back a few times with wow plays.

He’s also much younger and can still improve. Genoa was terrible until his 30’s.

If kubiak who’s coached him wants him as his guy for his offense I’d be good with it.
Fair enough. BUT, if Geno and Dalton are pretty much equal and Geno wasn't good enough...?

The people who wanted to move off of Geno at all costs may potentially see just how of an idea that was.

Geno wanted out so JS did what he could but this may blow up completely.
