Class act. Thank you for the many great memories, Tyler! Maybe we'll see him back with a lesser contract, if the market elsewhere doesn't work out.

I saw this but wasn’t a reliable source. As sad as it is it’s the right move. The day was coming eventually. Wish him the absolute best.

Frees up what should be $17 million

$17 million was just too much extra cap space to pay him at this point. Selfishly I hope he doesn’t find a suitor and signs back here at a more reasonable price but I wish him nothing but the best no matter what. Class act off the field and a great receiver on the field.

<SARCASM>Guess it's time to burn my Lockett jersey.</SARCASM>

One of my favorites. Pure class on and off the field. He now resides in the same warm place in my heart as some of my all-time favorite slot receivers (Engram, Baldwin). He deserves a happy life. Cheers to your next adventure and thanks for the memories!

Sad day for sure, but very much expected. They're doing him a solid and giving him time to CHOOSE where he goes, imo.
Thanks for the Memories, Tyler. One of the best humans on the planet and one hell of a player.

Tyler knew this was coming.

No doubt about it. They had announced that they were in contract discussions and he obviously didn’t want to go as low as the they wanted. When he said no he knew this was the result.

One of three or four Seahawks who I wish more than anything could have gotten a ring.

An absolute consummate pro, I feel blessed to have been able to root for him this past decade.

Hope he lands somewhere that appreciates him or that he is back on a much more team friendly deal.
