Seahawks Place Rayshawn Jenkins on IR, Sign Ty Okada

n an unexpected move, the Seattle Seahawks placed starting safety Rayshawn Jenkins on injured reserve on Wednesday and signed second-year safety Ty Okada from the practice squad. To fill Okada's practice squad spot, the team signed cornerback Eric Garror.

PFF has him ranked 91st among 135 qualifying safeties, although a horrific run defense ranking of 125th is dragging that down some.

I've been hearing that our safeties have been pretty awful lately from the people who are better able to focus on on that better than I can. Hopefully that's among the off-season priorities.

The cast on his hand might explain why he looked so athletically awkward out there. Some guys just don't move well with it, even if it's on the hand and not the lower extremity.
