I guess Justin Hamilton moves to PS. Smith seems like a Hill replacement, a more natural NT.

They'd need to release him first.

Were poaching the 9ers, so in their heads it's amazing.

The day is just underway. I'm sure that the Hawk war room is buzzing.

Today is at the same excitement level for me as day 2 of the draft.

Yup. I don't know why I even bother with the draft. Cut day and the 2 days after actually shape the roster. HOWEVER, getting 8 draft picks on the final 53 is more than I can remember when the team is already successful.

They'd need to release him first.

And then he'd need to clear waivers.

And then the Hawks can sign him to PS.

But only if he is the player they intend to replace Smith with.

Hopefully Simon.

That would then leave us with only 4 CBs. As much as I hate Simon right now, can't go into the season with 4 true CBs and even though they have Powell listed as a CB I don't trust him there.

Smith was one of two preseason defensive standouts for the 49ers, especially during an Aug. 20 game against in Denver when he was forced into the contest early due to injuries along the defensive line. He finished fourth on the team in tackles this summer and was Pro Football Focus’ top-rated interior defensive lineman.

LOL, 49ers bragging in the press about McCray going to us because we really wanted him and getting a draft pick, fails physical and is sent back, grab their DT instead for nothing.

Seattle also claimed defensive tackle Garrison Smith after the San Francisco 49ers waived him as part of their roster cuts. Smith, who is 6-foot-1, 300 pounds, was one of San Francisco’s preseason standouts, recording 15 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks.
