Because he can't live unless everyone thinks he's a genius. Jerry Jones would look like a general consultant compared to how much Musk would demand to be in front of the cameras.

I thought that SpaceX Starship landing was pretty ingenious and disagree with that 2nd sentence. EM is a smart guy, I doubt if he is interested in owning an NFL team.

Like others I wish we could just hang with JA, JS & MM for another five years so as not to interrupt this run. The 12's are again headed into unknown territory that was once a dodged bullet (KB). We can only hope whoever buys the team will be pro Seahawks and smart enough not to be a fly in the ointment.

I don't think you need to worry about DJT. As you said, the other owners wouldn't allow it. It takes 24 out of the 32 to approve an ownership change.

But I'm a little mystified about your charge that Bezos "runs everything into the ground for profit." Certainly, Amazon wasn't "run into the ground." You make a profit by building a solid, successful company, not by running it into the ground. You'll have to provide an example.

That doesn't mean that I necessarily support Bezos buying the team. I don't know enough about the man or his management style to offer an opinion one way or another.

This is how I feel, too.

For my part, if by some twist of fate Bezos owns the team (thought I've heard rumblings he's not interested at all), so long as he doesn't meddle in the NFL side of things and just signs the checks, I'll tolerate him.

If EM buys it, he is far too busy with his other endeavors to spend a lot of time focused on muddling with the ops of the Seahawks. He might for 6 months, or so, but like his efforts with the government, he will quickly go back to the companies that are working on his true vision.

I'm not sure that I've ever heard of him being much of a sports guy, though.
