In this post I have projected our own FA re-signings, a few player signings in FA, and selections in the draft. I don't have them resigning Woolen, Bryant, Mafe, Shaheed, or Walker. I'm using Sportrac.com's contract expectations for the Free Agent players.
Seahawks re-signing of their own players:
- (CB) Josh Jobe 3 years @ $30 million: Jobe is a proven good starting CB. $10 million a year is great value for a starting CB.
- (OT) Josh Jones 2 years @ $9 million: Jones was very good starting at LT when Charles Cross was out for a few games this past season.
Seahawks FA signings:
- (OLB/DE) Joseph Ossai 6'4" 263 lbs, 25 years old, former team Bengals. 4 years @ $37 million ($9.2 million per year): Ossai is very good against the run. He is young and he is a twitch up athlete, 1.58 10-yard split, 41 inch vert, and 10ft 11in broad jump. Ossai has the physical tools to be a good pass rusher and he has the want-to vs the run. I see him being a very good player for the Seahawks defense.
- (NT/DT) Eddie Goldman 6'3" 320 lbs, 32 years old, former team Washington. 1 year @ $2 million: Goldman is good depth at NT at a cheap price.
- (RB) Tyler Allgeier 5'11 220 lbs, 26 years old, former team Falcons. 3 years @ $17 million ($5.7 million per year): Allgeier is a powerful runner that can an every down RB for the Seahawks for this upcoming year.
Draft:
I have the Seahawks trading down once in this mock with the Raiders.
2nd round #36 (from Raiders) - (OLB/DE) Malachi Lawrence 6'4" 253 lbs, UCF: Lawrence is quick twitch, bendy pass rusher, whom also has a good arsenal of pass rush moves. He was one of the most disruptive pass rushers this past season. Lawrence would be a situational pass rusher for us his rookie year. He is considered below average against the run, but that may have more to do with the scheme he played in. At least that is what he referenced to when as about his play against the run.
2nd round #64 - (DE/DT) Grace Halton, 6'3" 293 lbs, Oklahoma: Halton is another player that is quick and explosive to get into the backfield. Our defensive line would be set for years with young plays like Halton, Mills, and Murphy on our 3-4 defensive line.
3rd round #96 - (WR) Ted Hurst 6'4" 206 lbs, Georgia State: Hurst is good size speed (4.42 40-yard, 1.55 10-yard) and is a fairly good route runner for his size. I think he will easily replace Shaheed production at WR.
4th round #117 (from Raiders) - (OG) DJ Campbell 6'3" 313 lbs, Texas: Campbell has started RG this last year. He has a good zone blocking grade and is known as a road grader in the run game. I would expect him to be a day one starter for the Seahawks.
6th round #212 - (RB) Kaelon Black 5'10" 211 lbs, Indiana: Black is a good natural runner, he has vision, good power for his size, and good contact balance.

This mock off-season give us more young talented pass rushers, which would give the Seahawks a amazing depth of pass rushers. Both sides of the trenches are upgraded and should continue to give opposing offenses problems.
