Seahawks 2022 Draft Day 1 Thread

I'm excited: we're going to have a new franchise QB by the end of the night!

I got caught in the Desmond Ridder love-fest as well, but I'm pretty sure if *that* happens tonight it would be Malik Willis. I don't see the Hawks taking Ridder before the 41 selection. I just hope the Hawks get 3 difference-maker players in the first 3 picks, an OL, an EDGE, a CB, players who can contribute as rookies. Hell, maybe even a Jonathan Taylor clone RB, not that there are any in this draft that will be there at 40/41. Some project Ridder as a 3rd rounder, but that seems a bit late for his upside. Ridder scenario to me would be PC/JS trade down a few spots from #9 to pick up a 2nd rounder to snag Ridder with, or to get another good player and snag Ridder at 41.

I know the Wonderlic has fallen out of favor/use, but supposedly Willis took it anyway and had a score in the 30's. I don't have a source handy for that.

Yep, Hawks are basically being forced to pick O line. They probably hate it too. Would not be shocked at all if they trade down.
