And the picks aren't going to be awarded until next year. So depends on who the Seahawks sign from other teams and how they all balance out.

JS was all about getting him on the team when he was available. There isn't room for everyone to play.

The Giants forum is way confused.

As they should be. He has almost no tape with the Seahawks and was cut by the Cardinals before that. Now, he's making bank. Can't make sense of it myself.

The Giants must be desperate. Schofield is a nice depth player, but that is a lot of money for a guy who was on waivers last offseason and had 8 tackles this year as a backup.

That dude is fast and looked damn good for us when given the chance. You can't really blame him for not getting playing time considering he played for one of the best defenses of EVER

He was solid depth, but wow, that's a ton for a guy who rarely played last year.

Good for him, though. Seems like he was a good guy, and the Cards really did him dirty. No way were we even paying him half of that.

They wanted a DE tweener with some potential. That's what they are paying for. If he pans out its genious. The Giants used to bank on those kind of players so you would think they have a heads up.

That contract reflects how talent loaded this team was in 2013.

Schofield is a good get for the Giants, contrary to what some of you are saying. I bet the G-jack is low, and Schofield played well when Irvin was suspended.

He was a good signing when we got him, and a good one for the GIants.

I think he'll earn it. Of ALL the free agents, he was the one I wanted back most, but I was thinking it would be less than half this cost.

Good for Schofield. Now he may get to play more. He didn't get much playing time with the Seahawks but he did get a ring.

Schofield could be just the guy the Giants have been looking for.

Here is a decent O'Brien Schofield write up and his anticipated role with Giants >>> [urltargetblank]http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2014/03/11/obrien-schofield-gives-new-york-giants-a-needed-hybrid-edge-rusher/[/urltargetblank]

I think most people are just shocked at the money he got after taking a pay cut and not playing all that much for the Hawks. He definitely is a good player and I wanted him back. You are right though, if the guaranteed money is low it might look a bit different.
