It’s called executive of the YEAR , not the last five years. Lynch will be evaluated on the trade for CMC , the free agent additions of charvarious ward, Gipson , Jimmy g and others and a draft that included Purdy and Burford, Jordan mason. Also the overall record of the team.

You say all this then you forget the drafting of aiyuk and deebo, free agent additions of juice and Trent Williams , drafting Aaron banks, drafting talanoa hufunga and Dre green law . The only guys that were already here when he arrived were arik armstead and Jimmy ward. 2 nfc championship games one Super Bowl appearance. Better record in the last 4 years. What has seattle done In The last 4 years? They won the Super Bowl a decade ago

You say more with less… seattle was 7-10 last year. 49ers were 2-14 when lynch took over

This is all a moot point as Howie roseman will win anyway

Interesting that you accurately claim its for this year and not to consider the last 5 years....and then bring up the niners record 5 years ago when Lynch was hired ;)

Everyone thought the Digits would be good. No one thought the Hawks would be. Therefore, what Schneider has done this last year is far more impressive. It's laughable to pretend otherwise.

JS would have had a chance if the Seahawks won the division.

That was for frodo spouting off that Lynch has "backed" into a few good picks in Kittle and Warner and then mentioning all the misses. I think Schneider should win over Lynch anyway, but Roseman will win over both of them

Schneider may have been forced into trading Russ, but the fact that he parlayed that into the draft haul that he did is amazing. Denver could have realized the Hawks were over a barrel, because of Wilson's acceptable teams list, and lowballed us. The fact they didn't is directly to JS's credit. Turning those picks into quality players is another several feathers in his cap.

Seems like Sauce is the entrenched pick for DROY but I don't see why. Woolen has been just as good with more picks and without a top-5 over-all defense around him.

It was bad enough when he didn't get it the year he engineered an all-time draft and they gave it to the Colts' guy who was gifted the #1 pick when there was a generational QB prospect, but there's no legitimate argument to not give it to him this year. That being said, I'm expecting it to be Joe Douglas. Not to say he's not killing it with the Jets, but it should easily be Schneider this year.

Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson forcing his way out and the Bronco’s getting desperate for a QB after Rodgers wanting to stay in GB the trade never happens
Are you saying he was lucky?

Fortunate is a good word. Wilson also had a no trade clause there also was a deal agreed on with Washington but Wilson nixed that

What does Wilson wanting out have to do with Schneider's feat? Russ was under contract, he can't just leave because he may want to. John saw the opportunity and made the trade, all one needs to know to realize his genius.

If you trade a franchise QB for a haul of picks just before said franchise QB falls off a performance cliff AND then you engineer a draft that lands you 4-5 starting calibre players including candidates for DROTY and OROTY, THEN if you don’t win Exec of the year, you’ve been shafted big time.

Especially if everyone thinks you have no talent and you make the playoffs.
