FYI, John Idzik didn't do anything other than mechanically execute contracts and the cap. He didn't make any decisions. That's not how it works. Look at cap guys as accountants, for the most part.

Well, that was what Idzik said in an interview. But surely he just guided the numbers and did not decide much. I sure understand that this situation is now different than the last few rebuilding years and as I said, I like maxxing out every possible thing right now, this will be a true contending year and every possible thing should be done now to win. Followed by a few more years if Wilson does not get badly hurt.
