Comeback player of the year and it isn't close. Still think he needs to win a couple in the playoffs to get paid by minny...big game next week. He's a wild thrower can he hold it together?

Burrow is basically a lock to win that award. The NFL has come out and said the emphasis is on players who come back from injury or illness.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. The Vikes already have McCarthy. Darnold might not be Allen, Burrow or Mahomes, but next to Geno he is.

You think they will pay him and make McCarthy sit?

Coming back from being fully considered a bust by everyone is as impressive as coming back from injury or illness
I agree, and I think that kind of thing is what the award SHOULD be about, but the NFL sent out a memo to all voters letting them know that the spirit of the award is about physical limitation comebacks. I'm guessing that had something to do with the backlash from Damar Hamlin not winning last year.

It’s would be expected for Joe burrow to come back and still be Joe burrow. To reinvent your game and play, pretty much yourself, and find success in the nfl is an accomplishment

Darnold is a hell of a QB, he just finally got in the right situation. And he's only 27. I think the Vikes will be getting a lot of calls about Darnold and/or JJ Mccarthy.

Sitting a young QB for a couple/few years has worked out pretty well for Green Bay. I think it's pretty likely that Minny puts the franchise tag on Darnold to keep him around for another year without having to give him a huge multi year deal, which also gives them the added benefit of letting JJ sit and learn for another year. Then they can decide next off season if they want to try to get a longer term deal done with Darnold and possibly trade JJ, or roll with JJ and let some other team sign Darnold. Of course, they could always franchise tag Darnold again, but that starts to get cost prohibitive and is likely to make Darnold pretty unhappy to be missing out on a big multi year contract.

JS still needs to make the call though to ask about Darnold and Mccarthy. Can't hurt to ask.
