That's the problem with the rule. DB comes forward to make a play on the ball and tackle. What the rule is basically saying is if a receiver is falling down you can't tackle them. That's fine if you're far enough away that you can break down and touch him down, but if you're close enough to potentially make a play on the ball and don't quite get there in time, your hung out to dry.

He decked him in the head harder than Witherspoon did earlier in the game. I didn't cry then and I wouldn't have cried now.

It's not, by the way, for any reason other than I've come to terms with that particular penalty.

I know right. The problem with the percentages saying go for it is the fact that there isn't enough plays in a season for the percentages to play out the way they should. You need SEASONS worth of plays for the numbers to work. It's like playing black jack by the numbers. If you only play once a year with $100 buy in, playing by the numbers is pretty much meaningless. You need to play thousands of hands for things to play out the way they should overall
