- Selection: Jadarian Price - RB: (Notre Dame): 5’11: 203 lbs: 4.49 (40): 1.61 (split): 35’’ (Vertical): 10’4 (Broad). Price will be 23 by the start of the season. He has way more mass than 203 lbs. Price is a no-fuss, 1-cut, get down hill type of back. His tape shows a highly explosive dude moving downfield that is hard to tackle. Well balanced and can weave in and out of traffic. Looks faster on film than his raw testing numbers. What he can do is get north and south quickly while being decisive about it. Despite running a 4.49 and a 1.61 split, he can consistently win the edge. He has good vision. He lets blocks develop and fits a wide-zone scheme very well. His decisiveness allows him to know when to cut back in zone. Little tread on his tires as he shared the rock with J. Love at Notre Dame. Willing blocker that will put his face in the way with solid technique. He drops his hips and fully engages with the rusher. He hasn’t really shown the ability to be a huge part of the passing game and has never been the main ball carrier. In addition, he suffered a ruptured Achillas injury during his freshmen year. Jadarian Price fits the mold of a Seahawk first rounder. Good head on his shoulders, not selfish, loves football, no character concerns, really productive when given the chance. He’s going to fight for extra yards – he averages 4.28 yards after contact (a good number). What he isn’t is Ken Walker. He doesn’t dance. He doesn’t make guys miss. He sees a hole, he hits the hole, he makes big plays. Exactly what this offense needs. I think the Seahawks hand select him to share the load in 2026. By next season, he can be the full time starter or share the load with Zach Charbonnet if Z.C is brought back. Price is a one school dude that probably had opportunities to transfer. He was 2nd-fiddle to Love at Notre Dame. Stayed true to the Fighting Irish. That probably appeals to the Seahawks.

2nd Round: (#64)
- Selection: Jalon Kilgore - Safety: (South Carolina): 6’1: 210 lbs: 32’’ ⅞ arms: 4.40 (40): 1.56 (Split): 37’’ (Vertical): 10’10’’ (Broad): 4.32 (Shuttle): 16 reps (Bench). Kilgore will be 21 for all of the season and just turned 21 this past January. I struggled with his pick because I really want to take an Edge. The rub is I don’t really like any of the Edges enough to take one in this range. I just keep going back to the DBs. They are the strength of this class. I think the Seahawks are going to sign another veteran pass rush specialist. Drafting an Edge is put on hold until 2027. Jalon Kilgore was brought into the VMAC for a 30-official visit. The Seahawks are interested. Kilgore plays, moves, and barks like a Seahawk. Straight passion for football. His tape is a lot of fun. Plays everywhere. CB, Slot, FS, SS, LB. This is the type of athlete and versatility that screams Macdonald. Great in run support and solid in coverage. Was extremely productive in taking away the ball – 8 ints in his career. Picks usually translate to the NFL as a safety. Top top end speed. I have him in the 3rd round. Getting him in the late 2nd isn’t a far reach in my opinion. This is the upset of the mock. Not many are going to agree. I see what I see.

3rd Round: (#96)
- Selection: Hezekiah Masses - CB: (Cal): 6’1: 179 lbs: 31’’ ⅛ arms: 4.46 (40): 1.57 (Split): 31.5’’ (Vertical): 9’11 (Broad). Masses will be 24 by the start of the season. Again…hear me out on why Masses makes sense to the Seahawks. Many of us think Seattle is going CB in the 1st or 2nd rounds. What if they don’t? What if they don’t value their field-side CB that highly. Which CB fits this mold? In my opinion, a field-side CB has to have good eyes, knows how to drop in zone, knows how to peel off in zone. Masses does this. I went back to look at snaps of when he was a field-side CB at Cal. He showed a lot of instincts when he was in off-man. He shows a lot of ball-hawking abilities. He mirrors WRs really easily. What he needs to work on is not being too grabby. His press technique needs refining. His tackling technique needs to improve. I wonder if a full time move to be a field-side CB would help him. He doesn’t have to put his hands on dudes all of the time. He doesn’t have to press as much. He can bail or drop off. I think I want my field-side CB to be this way. You give him the chance to look at the QB. I’m not sure he’s stout or fast enough to be a boundary CB anyways. I don’t think I want him to cover the top dudes. I want him to sit in zones or match quarters. I want him to use his instincts. Masses might not be the selection but I think this is where I’m going. I’m looking for a particular CB to play field-side. I’m not convinced it has to be a first or even second round pick.

6th Round: (#21)
- Selection: Josh Cameron: WR: (Baylor): 6’1 ½: 220 lbs: 33’’ ⅛ arms: 10’’ ¼ hands. (40): (Split): (Vertical): (Broad). This is a shot in the dark. Cameron didn’t do any testing at the Combine. He is a thickly built WR that is a load to bring down. Cameron is physical at the line and brings that power element to the passing game. What I’m interested in is can you mold him into the Cooper Kupp role? Can you turn him into a run blocking machine? Can you put him in the slot and ask him to overpower nickels? He is a YAC monster waiting to happen. He doesn’t run elite routes yet. He can’t always separate on the outside. But…can you turn him into a slot demon? Color me intrigued with the potential.
