I saw him throw a trademark moon ball pick on the weekend in highlights and was like; "I wonder how long...."

But TBH, didn't most of .net predict that he was gonna get eaten alive in NY?

Although John Schneider has made some questionable moves, he's done a good job of refrigerator management, throwing out some meat and produce just before they went bad. He got rid of Russ and Earl Thomas just before their sell-by date. I think the DK Metcalf trade might also prove to be a wise decision.

Oh wow. I didn't think it would happen this soon. Tough time to start a rookie with the Chargers up next. Except for the Saints, the Giants in the next 6 weeks have some pretty tough games: the Chargers, Eagles (twice), Broncos and 49ers. Maybe Russ should feel lucky that he's not playing.
I really thought they were going to let Russ take the bumps during a rough first half to the season and use that time to get other pieces coached up and then move to Dart to close out the year

I think Dart did well enough in preseason and had enough gravitas that they felt they needed to go now

He went from a shot at the HOF to free falling the second he left and it looks like there’s no stopping it.

He is now playing his way off his third team in three years (Broncos, Steelers, Giants). If the Broncos hadn't made the two biggest roster-construction mistakes in their team's history on one player (both trading a lot of draft picks and actual useful NFL players for Wilson and then compounding it by signing Wilson to a lucrative contract extension before he had played a down for them), he wouldn't have stuck there for two seasons, and then he would have changed teams four seasons in a row. He's become a less-effective

Meanwhile, his fan club will insist he's still on a HoF track and that he's playing lights-out.

And actually, he has been playing lights-out.

For a very specific meaning of the term.

Wilson could still make decent coin as a backup QB he does keep his mouth shut and is a team player. He is 36 he could play another 5 yrs
I always wonder if some of these guys are too "alpha - got to start" for that. Being a backup QB at this stage has got to be one of the best jobs in sports. Mariota is an example of a guy who has embraced it and still has a job because of it.

A lot of people do charity work without turning it into a photo opp. Russ doesn't seem to realize that when you take a lot of photos of your good work and post it on social media that it makes it seem like you're just doing it to enhance your reputation. Even after everyone has pilloried him for it, Russ keeps doing it.

When I saw this, my thought was a Team3 plant wrote it because it's
so convenient with the timing of his benching and supposed to make
him look good.
My opinion is that he already knew before today and staged this.

My partner and I and many people I know do charity work. It's just part of our lives. No big deal. But I don't post pictures of it on Facebook, Instagram, or elsewhere. As a matter of fact, I don't even have accounts on any of those sites. I get a little annoyed by such self promotion. One's charity work is best left for others to make mention of or praise.

I think it’s a great job as long as the player is cool with it when I think of long term back ups that just kept on going was Jon Kitna
