I have no idea what you are talking about. I have never, ever called Murphy a “bust” and don’t think I have even discussed him on here, for that matter. You are flat out making this up. Prove me wrong. Love the guy.

Still waiting for you to tell me why you think Price is a “beast”. I’d genuinely like to know. Again, I sincerely hope you are right. He seems like he has plenty of talent, he just didn’t get to show out at ND.
Macintosh was a 7th round pick. Was worth a shot, it didn't work out.

I didn't say YOU called Murphy a bust. I'm calling your take on the running game just as bad though. But hey, as you say, it's "facts" somehow.
Before he's even taken a single snap in the NFL. Fan how you want, you have a right to your OPINION.

Eh, you knew what you were doing.

You still haven’t explained why Price is a “beast”. I mean, if it’s just your feelings and optimism, that’s fine, just say so. Once again, I hope he is great and JS has made plenty of great moves, so we will see.

Nah, this type of argument is like clapping with one hand. You have a right to your wrong opinion.
You've created your narrative. Good luck with that.

15-20% NFL players never recover/come back from that injury.

It's worse than that, as the numbers are highly skewed by QBs, who have a 90% return to play rate, with 71.4% of them returning to play within a year of injury. They have a mere 16.8% drop in snap count, and a 2% decrease in approximate value, as defined by PFF. 60% are still in the league 3 years post injury.

Running backs who suffered ACL tears have only a 25% return to play within one year, and a cumulative 52% return to play. However, they have a massive drop off in snap count -83.5%, and approximate value -90.5%. At three years post injury, only 25% are still in the league.

Granted the average NFL career is only a few years, but for every Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore, the field is littered with a Edgerrin James, a Deuce McAllister, or a Rashard Mendenhall.

I think they could have figured out if they wanted to. They obviously did not.

We will see if it was a good choice or not. I just viewed K9 as an insurance policy for at least a year.

Maybe the run game will be OK. Maybe it will not. If it isn’t, we know what that will do to the passing game.

I liked the odds a lot better with having a proven guy back there.

Why would he sign for $14MM when he could get $45MM from a team like KC? And if he agrees to the "prove it while we punt on this decision for a year" franchise tag contract and gets injured or doesn't perform like he did in the postseason, is that $45MM sitting there for him next year? JS did right by him.

Which actually lends support to why we wouldn't burden Walker with a franchise tag or expect that he'd actually sign one. He's one ACL away from not getting that $45MM from KC.

I doubt there is anyone who questions whether the decision not to tag Walker was good for Walker. Plenty people have legitimate questions of whether it was good for the Seahawks.

Best wishes to McIntosh. Obviously he's not ready to practice so he's likely to clear waivers, (although his contract isn't guaranteed so picking him up wouldn't be a risk). Wilson and Holani are known RB3/RB4 type commodities so there's no reason to panic into signing another veteran RB. Charbonnet is a top 40 RB and Price has potential so again there's no reason to panic. However, until Price is up to speed and/or Charbonnet is fully healthy, (neither of which is a certainty for 2026), this is a bottom 6 RB room.

They're not mutually exclusive ideas.

Why would any tagged player sign the tag? They do however.

It was just a difficult set of facts, mainly from a timing perspective, for the Seahawks and for Walker. I can see both sides of it for sure but at the end of the day the Seahawks are the ones that have a somewhat glaring problem to solve. I’ll be first in line for cheering them on to do so.

And if Price manages to produce Walker's 60 yards per game, we're back up to where we were.

A Lombardi trophy is the result of a lot of things coming together at the right time, some of them outside of a club's control. Any single additional loss last year could have led to a different playoff seeding and thus a different outcome.

I've been suspecting for a while that we got lucky that Walker went off towards the end of the year when he really isn't going to be remembered as all THAT amazing or consistent of a RB. He's a mid-tier guy, he gave us the necessary extra shove because...reasons...and then got what he had earned, a polite midtier offer from Schneider that KC easily outbid. Once he was gone, we had to find someone else, and there's a big flashing question mark at the RB position after nobody (yet) has particularly lit up the offseason.

Sorry to hear that. Kid showed flashes of great play. The fact he is PUP means he hasn't healed yet, so his chances of signing on somewhere this year seem slim to me. I certainly wish him the best going forward.

Sorry, but I'm hardly in panic mode over our RB room. And I'm surely not wanting to go out and sign some damaged goods vet. Anybody who is currently not in camp with somebody is suspicious to me. Set aside your fantasy football draft board for a minute and look at the real NFL. Seahawks will be fine.
I agree. No panic. How many times did we play a team with a decent running back that we had never heard of. RB’s don’t grow on trees, but they are all lined up waiting to run behind the Schneider line, which may soon be the first back to back Super Bowl champion offensive line Seattle history.

Also, how many of you thought George Holani would be around for years and be one of our top RBs? This only goes to show that we don’t know nothing. Price will be a beast cause he’s a Seahawk. There’s the proof

That's entirely implied by my post. If they were mutually exclusive, then there would be no debate to be had. We (mostly) all agree that it was good for Walker. We are debating whether it is good for the Seahawks or not.

The adults are talking, Skippy.

OK…..when people resort to moronic posts like this, you know they have lost and are revealing more about themselves.

Still waiting for you to explain why Price is a “beast”. Maybe he is but I’d love to hear how you reached that conclusion.
