I know the penalties and outbursts are bewildering for many of us, but I just want to talk about his level of play this season thusfar.

Wow. Except for some runs the Titans had, I think Richard's been lights out as a CB this year - both against the pass and the run. Did he even surrender a reception today? The only negative I saw was a ticky tack holding penalty against TY that seemed like BS to me.

Proud to have him on this team.

I'm not sure they even targeted him tonight. :229031_shrug:

He is still playing at a high level and some pundits still have him as the top CB in the league. Ike Taylor usually picks him at the top.

He had at least one target when he was covering Hilton, I believe.

Broke it up. 8)

I think Hilton had one catch on Sherman for 11 yards.

That's ridiculous. Hilton is a top 10 WR, and he's also the quicker, shiftier, faster WR that typically gives guys of Sherman's body type trouble.

To erase him like that, your technique needs to be perfect.

Sherm is also the best tackling CB in the game.

Sherm gets little love anymore, his comments, outbursts, politics what have you make him a little bit of a pariah outside Seattle and to a degree even here but he's playing at a very high calibre this season. Looks better than he did last season and is locking down his side of the field. I for one am happy he's still here.

Some folks like to rag on him, but they should remember, he played SB 49 with basically one arm, after getting hurt against GB the week before. The guy is good, and tough.

Just read Sam Gould's recap and per PFF, Sherman was targeted once and didn't allow a reception.
