Respect

First off I love me some Seahawks football. Been a fan since the beginning. I read lots of post here and one theme that constantly pops up is how much respect they get (or don't). Well the past few years they did not deserve much of it. They have not had a winning record in the past four years. How many other teams in the league would you fear at 7-9. Now that things are rolling this year they are getting it. They deserve it. Even in the past when they lost a Superbowl how feared was our team looking in from the outside. They were a finesse team. I personally was never a big Holmgren fan. I will give hime props for taking them to the bowl appearance but a dynasty maker he aint.

Now currently our team is a smash mouth hard hitting ground it out team. That gets respect in this league. They finally have an identity. I am now more excited about the Seahawks than I have ever been. Even if they don't make a bowl appearance this year I am still happier with this season. Lots to feel good about. Hard hits, colorful personalities, controversy, post season appearance. Whats not to love? It is just more fun to follow and watch.

Gotta love the new attitude the team has. I agree. It's like last season. It was the most satisfying 7-9 season I can remember, because we somehow knew that what is happening now was just over the horizon. Just by the way they played the games, we could tell great things were coming.
