Cable is a QB killer. You don't coach a line or an offense and say you don't care about pass protection.

You mean we are going to have more than one play call in 2018?!?!?!

Wilson: “You mean you want me to do something other than scramble around in circles like a chicken with it’s head cut off until my receivers are able to get open on a broken play?”
If the passing game looks the same then you know Russ is the problem.

Not really. We could hire someone worse than Bevell. If anything, this was one of my fears. The idea that a replacement means the problem is fixed.

When you fire someone, there are no guarantees. Hence why head coaches and GMs ALWAYS go with stability..until they can't

His legacy will always be brought down a few notches due to his play calling in the Super Bowl disaster. Lets face it right now we all feel like Labradors who just did their business. This needed to happen years ago because there was so much negativity toward him and many of those players are gone or on their way out. Just think about Sherman's frowny face face and how that has become iconic mainly because it is linked to one of the top 5 sports blunders of all time. Deal with it.

Check out the Lynch @ Raiders dancing video for to see the dance I am doing right now (40 year old white dude wearing Seahawks gear from head to toe) Woodinville representing! Skip to 1:20

It's too late to be careful of what you wish for ...... firing Darrell Bevell and other coaches fixes nothing.

Their considerable execution problems resides with player personnel. Today's events are just the first shoe to fall.

Not sure how you can say this without seeing even one down under the new coordinator.

Of course it's more complicated than just "Bevell's fault,".............but IMO there's nothing wrong with having new ideas and energy in the building to try and fix the systemic offensive playcalling problems.

Maybe in the end you're right, but to say this is impossible. No one knows until we see the end result next summer.

Good news to wake up to. This team needed some change and coaches around the league, even playoff teams, are giving coaches the boot. It was past time to get a new OC and try something different, for better or worse. I must say that I will miss the annual Fire Bevell threads in gameday forums though. Woohoo

Don't worry they will still be there. we just don't know the new name that will be in the title yet.

The question is who is going to be leading the charge and how early.

This was a much needed move. It was time to move on. The offense just hasn’t produced at the level it should have this year.

Cable will be gone next, no doubt. I expect him to be gone after any interviews he might have left with other teams, if he has any.

Expect a shake up on offense, as this will be good long term for the team.
