Saw an interesting Julio stat during last night's game.

He has exactly two extra-base hits with runners in scoring position all year.
Yeah, he's near career averages in most offensive categories, but that seems abysmal from one of your core hitters.

Maybe it's more of a team thing? What is it with this squad and their lack of timely hitting? Seems pervasive.

It's been an issue for all of the first half of the season, and it's not just Julio. Don't have stats on the rest of the guys, but it's been bad all season. We need less 'swinging for the fences' and more 'put the ball in play' action.

Only TWO extra base hits with RISP is indeed absolutely pathetic & a big part of why this team is really .500 at best. Unless they start magically hitting, it's a wrap. His OBA+SLG is extremely low for someone they hype as a run producer & overall best player. He's not cutting it.
