I think you know...

I remember in 1995 the 49ers crushed the Cowboys, and were up 31-7 at half time. How great that felt. I also remember that Dallas hoisted the Lombardi at the end of the year. I can assure you I'd trade a beat down against the Cowboys, any 49ers fans most hated team, for a Championship. I think you'd be quite happy getting swept by us but ending the season as numero uno. I would, too.

Intelligent reply, but I don't currently have the Niners projected as a lock to make the play offs. My post, perhaps not well written, was more alluding to us keeping you out of the play offs OR beating you in the play offs. Pick your poison. I will say you guys played without some key players tonight but then again, it was the Rams. I'll ask you this....were you awed by your teams' performance tonight?? Do you feel that performance beats the "She Hawks"?

Comparing Josh Freeman and Sam Bradford ... I wonder what's up.
RAMS want to extend Bradford's contract, Bucs have just sent Freeman to the bench (most likely ending his career as starter) ... I guess some people just have a free pass ... while others don't even have the confidence of their coaches ... seriously???
Bradford's failures have been blamed on his team. Remember when he had a stud at RB? Today's failure is blamed on the lack of a running game ... lol He throws a pretty deep ball ... I guess ... lol lol lol

Check out the first part of this post game stuff...

You can hear the crowd chant "Seahawks suck." That, their folks, is respect!

But according to our Niner friend in HIS thread, there IS no rivalry with the Seahawks, and it's weird that the Seahawks are obsessed with the Niners.

Perhaps they were just trying to distract the Rams fans, hoping they'd leave their livestock unattended.

Really glad to get the win, given that before I was kind of expecting a loss (short week with 9ers offense in shambles, Rams playing the 9ers really well and even better at home last year, Aldon and Willis missing the game plus our nickle CB out, Vernon barely playing and two of the top three receivers still out).

Overall I was very pleasantly surprised by the play of the 9ers depth on defense (Skuta, Wilhoite, Lemonier, Dorsey and Brock all made big plays and played well).

And it was great to see the 9ers finally go back to their bread and butter big formations and to play well out them. Roman is still infuriating though, and you could see the offense grinding to a shrieking halt as he kept trying to go back to the overly cute BS that has typified the offense for the past two weeks.

Kap was okay, not great, which is much better than he has looked in two weeks.

The Rams might also even be worse than everyone already thought.

Basically I'm glad to get the win, and not reading much into the final score of it given the level of competition.

You should be happy with the W. We all would be. Especially, as you stated, you played without some key guys. I don't want to bum you out, but it really was as much what the Rams didn't do, as much as what the Niners did. So bad was the game that...well, I'll offer this:

NFL net just showed the results of their poll "How far will the Niners go this year"?

73% said the "Niners will win the SB". I shit you not.

You will likely agree that the 9ers are not exactly nationally popular, right? (I'd take that as a compliment, actually). So, what that poll really reflects, is that the game was so bad, that 73% of the people watching were actually 9er fans.

If I were a producer for NFL net, I wouldn't have shown that graphic. It only displayed what a shitty game they gave us AGAIN on this Thursday night.

Can't really blame 'em for that, though. I mean, after what happened between the Rams and 49ers last year, and with the expectation that the Rams would improve based on their draft, this should have been a good game.

Thanks for nothing, St. Louis. Zero chance Rams @ Seahawks in week 17 gets flexed. If anything, they'd flex it right off the air.

Im just glad that I wore my Richard Sherman jersey to the Buffalo Wild Wings here in Charleston. Loads of STL fans as we had a 3 day meeting here and met with a large group from STL. They probably really loved it as I cheered for VD and Boldin, who both added some decent numbers for my fantasy team.

Someone was going to be 1-3, I suppose it doesn't really matter. The Rams showed that they cant stop the run, cant run and well... Cant really do anything. So much for their bid. LOL. Did I see Staley being helped off the field? What happened?

Good point and you're right but my complaint is more with Thursday night football in general. I didn't say NFL net gave us a bad match-up, I said they gave us a shitty game. I anticipated this game, too. As much as I love football, I just don't believe a Thursday night game allows enough time for rest and game planning (even though it's more unfair to the visiting team...which didn't apply tonight).

The running back got tackled into the back of his legs. He tweeted he is fine according to the NFL Network.

Every Rams' fan expected a good game at Dallas. Um.

Many Rams' fans dusted off and got their courage up to see our team play at home v Niners - only to be crushed.

There is no sadder fan in the NFL right now than a Rams fan. I cried the whole game. I'm pissed, I'm sad, I'm frustrated, I don't even know.

Sorry, Alice; not trying to pile on.

No, it's just that a huge percentage of guys have fond memories of Tecmo Bowl on Nintendo back in the late 80s/early 90s.
