Is it? Verse looks like the best player on a bad defense. Everyone gives the Rams so much credit (they got Verse as soon as Donald was gone! Life's not fair!) and then ignore that their defense isn't very good.

Interior pressure is more disruptive than edge pressure. Edge rushers get the stats (and thus the cash) but that doesn't inherently make them more valuable.

I'd rather see our rookie DT be somewhat disappointing on a top 5-ish defense than we get an edge rusher who looks great on a bottom 5-ish defense, so color me skeptical about how bad of a move Macdonald and Schneider made here.

They're also getting pressure in the interior with Fiske, who was third among all DTs in sack this season. Another rookie. Also, Kobie Turner, who had 8 sacks the year after he had 9.

A lot of guys benefitting from that bad defense apparently.

Eagles will beat Washington. They are much more talented and have experience. Might be close early but 3rd quarter Philly will close it.
