Part of me is seeing red right now in light of the inexcusable loss, Kam, Bevell, the same old 3rd-and-long woes. But the larger part of me--the rest of me that exists outside of football and in a world that football is simply a part of--is just disappointed. I'm disappointed that the ride feels like it's coming to a close.

I'm sure many will chalk this up as a Chicken Little thread after one hiccup of a game, but most of understand knew we couldn't sustain the success of recent years forever. I hoped the preseason issues would stay in the preseason, but it really does feel like the other shoe has finally dropped.

Wilson's legs aren't surprising anyone anymore, our annual O-line shuffle is costing us games, the price of success is costing us money (and players), our defense can't live up to it's own hype, and frankly, the team doesn't feel hungry anymore. Without being underdogs, we have nothing to fight for.

Does anyone else remember how '06 or '07 felt? Like maybe Alexander would full recover? Maybe our O-line could produce without Hutch? We're just one receiver away from getting back to the big dance and maybe Deion Branch is the answer? Like we knew the wheels fell off championship buses but maybe they just wouldn't for us?

I think this is what a closing window feels like.

Relax. It's week one. We're still one of the youngest teams loaded with talent across the board. The rams always play us tough.

This team has plenty left

I agree with relax. But deep in my core, I agree that this year is in trouble. I do expect a rough year. Seattle is no longer new and fresh. Handling success is much tougher than handling adversity. Go Hawks!

They dealt with success last year after winning the superbowl, and came back ...to return to the superbowl
