I really think it could benefit both sides. Crosby will be 29 before the season starts, his trade value isn't going to get any higher, and the Raiders really have needs...well, everywhere.

Then you pay him a mint, and at age 29 he tears his ACL and his Achilles, and his career is over.

A typical Pete Carroll move...
