It’s sad to watch the Lockett-Smith execution crumble. It was a parlay between Pete, Geno and Tyler that I hoped to cheer for one more time.

Due to putrid offenses, both teams should fall a few spots in all the power rankings out there.

Echoing what others have said, Denver's 8-2 record is a joke due to a ridiculously easy schedule. They've beaten:
  • The 3-6 Jake Browning led Bengals
  • The 2-7 Geno Smith led Raiders by 3 points
  • The 3-5 Davis Mills led Texans by 3 points
  • The 1-7 Justin Fields led Jets 13-11
  • The 2-7 Jaxson Dart led Giants by 1 point
  • The 1-8 Cam Ward led Titans by 1 score
In my opinion, none of the AFC West teams are playoffs deserving, and I think even the Arizona Cardinals could easily kick all of their butts. What a massive contrast between AFC-West and NFC-West.

People watch Thursday night games? I read it was the most boring game in nfl history. More penalties than first downs? Glad I didn't tune in...

Denver did look like ass, but I try not to read too much into Thursday night games, which are typically a $h!t show product. Throw in division rivals and you really have a recipe for an ugly game.

Man, another brutal national game. Many of us are rooting for the Las Vegas Seahawks but they just look like trash. Geno still doing Geno things, holding on to the ball too long, not using his legs to scramble, taking unnecessary sacks.

Man, I so do not miss that.

I feel for Pete. We love him. What he meant for our team and what he accomplished here. I wish he would of saddled to a better horse. The Raiders? Eeesh. And what I would give to have Maxx on our team. I bet he feels the same way.

Talk about a stark dichotomy, watching the Raiders offense versus ours last Sunday. And that is why they are 2-6 and we are 6-2.

I concur with the consensus, an ugly game. Punters shanking kicks, missed FG's, balls bouncing off receivers. Both teams had more penalties (11) than they had first downs (10). I generally don't mind low scoring games, but this one was hard to watch.

This game should drop Denver several notches in the power rankings. They are not ready for Prime Time. As far as the Raiders go, they're a runaway train heading for a washed-out bridge. They'll be more calls for Pete to bench Geno, and Pete himself might not last the season. They get the Cowboys on MNF next week, so they'll end up looking like the old man coming out of the bathroom with his fly unzipped if they have another sordid performance in front of a nationally televised audience.

You outdid yourself on the simile/metaphor front, RiverDog. I still chuckle thinking about Goodell as the piano player in the whorehouse.

Unfortunately, at 71 years old, I'm living the dream. That could easily be me coming out of the bathroom selling wieners.
