Sale of the team timeline?

Not trying to start another speculation thread about the new owner/owners. We’ve had plenty of that.

My question is, how long does a “sale” typically take?

Is it even possible that we will have new owners by the start of the season?

Anyone know the absolute time table and how long the process takes after a buyer is selected.

What exactly are we to expect, best/ worst case scenarios?

All good questions. No real answers that I know of. 🤷‍♂️

This is going to be extremely interesting. I have a feeling that Jodi is going to be a part of the new ownership. Even if it's a small part.

Not to be callous but if she has a small part of it does it really even matter? She wouldnt have any impact on how the team runs at that point

I don't know how she really does now other than staying out of the way and letting the football people do the football things. Yeah, that's what you want from ownership, but in a smaller role, she couldn't prevent meddling from above her.

Iirc, last NFL franchise that was up for sale took about 9 months for the sale to go through.

To be a part of it, it'll have to be given to her, because I seriously doubt she can afford even a minority stake without robbing the estate, which I assume is prohibited.

they first have to come forward, then you have to get a price agreement, then the league has to approve, then it goes back to the legal people to get deal done and a time frame if approved, if not approved reset and get new group.
Thats the basics, now approval of league depends on how long it takes office and then the owners to approve.

I still stick to my opinion that she could be a part of the new ownership. Sometimes you just have a feeling.

That’s funny you say that cause Pete said it was hard for him to explain stuff to the non-football people…

To be fair, Pete had a lot of trouble explaining anything by the end of his Seahawks tenure. I love and appreciate the guy but his overuse of platitudes made for some empty explanations. He was always five points ahead of shared understanding during those last couple years. IMO

There are a few owners interested in buying the team.

But they want to move the team out of Seattle though.
