Just wanted to say thanks for making .Net a little less special because of that.

That does sound like me. I'm a pretty miserable person. I'm fine with most of the people here though.pehawk":see4qlva said:I kid because I love 'em.
Although, I dont believe Rat likes anyone, really, so why should English even take the bait?

It goes both ways. Even those who offer intelligent, counter-arguments against inside info are often quickly dismissed by those who believe the inside info to be true. And the thing is, almost nothing we say can change those people's mind, so instead of discussing reasoning and analysis for certain prospects and free agent moves, we're left arguing the "sources" credentials instead. I much prefer how it's been this off season where people are open-minded and discussing all the possible moves our team can make instead of only a few.

Well challangeing the source vs discussing the information given has always been a balancing act whether it's inside information, someones blog post or just some numb nut like me bringing up a topic. I have got into discussions from opposite sides with probably most people here over the years. As we get older we don't make every difference of opinion an arguement or war. There seems to be a focus on I have to be right a lot. When thats the focal point instead of the perspective they are trying to discuss thats where we go off the rails and get into our personality battles.

I think I've had one conversation with you ever, and it was a PM from you trying to explain that you weren't the poster called 'RAT' who'd posted a vile and offensive message on my blog.
But yeah... nothing irrational about an unspecified internet flounce. Maybe you're the one person I've ever had to ban from the blog, who persists to this day with sending me emails and messages under various different pseudonyms (Hi Janet)?
That would make sense. :th2thumbs:

Rat's a Jack-Russell Terrier. Yippy little thing running around annoying people and attention-whoring for the sake of it. I'm talking about the dog, so I don't get banned.![]()

Rat":1gijlu49 said:Yep, I used to go to your site all the time, would tell others about it, etc. I don't know why somebody used my .net handle to troll your site, but it wasn't me. Kearly alerted me to it, because he didn't think it sounded like me. I felt really, really bad, because I had a lot of respect for you as an analyst, and didn't want you to think I would post things like what this anonymous poster did on your site. I sent you three apology messages: one on the blog, one on a thread here, and the PM you mentioned. Your response was completely classless, and now I'm done with your site, which I'm sure you don't give a crap about, but whatever. There are plenty of other places out there for draft info.
