It appears as if coach Chris Petersen has already secured his quarterback for the class of 2015.
Jake Browning, whom Scout.com rates as a 4-star prospect and the No. 7 quarterback prospect in his recruiting class, announced on Twitter that he plans to sign with and play football for Washington.
According to his Scout.com bio, Browning threw for 5,737 yards and 75 touchdowns as a junior at Folsom (Calif.) High School. Those numbers earned him a bevy of regional and national recognition, including Gatorade State Player of the Year and Maxpreps National Junior Player of the Year.
He threw for 5,248 yards, 63 touchdowns and 16 interceptions as a sophomore.
Browning (6-foot-2, 202 pounds) joins O’Dea running back Myles Gaskin and Wenatchee offensive tackle Trey Adams as players known to have orally committed to UW for the class of 2015.
