DE Chris Clemons, WR Percy Harvin, TE Zach Miller, DE Greg Scruggs, CB Tharold Simon, RB Robert Turbin.

Simon is going to have a very hard time making this roster if he never steps foot on the field.

Yikes....that is some real talent right there. Harvin, Miller, and Turbin are especially unpleasant surprises. I thought Scruggs was already IR'd though.

Did you really say Heath Miller?

Dude, I don't want Zach Miller doing ANYTHING until preseason games two weeks from now at the very earliest.

Harvin, I'm worried about. I am hoping that it isn't a very deep tear that he can play through.

Turbin and Simon hopefully come off this list in the next week.

This seems to happen a lot here. Haha.

I'm not overly concerned about preseason pup. And if harvin is trying to get a second opinion, then I think it's less of a problem for him and the coaches are just not taking chances right now.

I didn't...cut and paste. Fixed.

And we all know they meant Zach.

pre-season pup is nothing to be too concerned about.

once a player practices he can no longer be put on the pre-season PUP List and therefore is taking up roster space the whole way through.

So, if a guy is 'questionable' to practice, putting them on pre-season PUP is the no-brainer default move.

Truth.

However, a guy like Simon trying to make the team probably needs every practice he can get. He hasn't seen the field since he was drafted.

Unlike normal pup, preseason pup still counts against the 90 roster limit.

Whoa whoa whoa. They said "could".

This is how bad information is spread.

And remember that this is the same website that tried to start a rumor earlier this year that the Seahawks would be cutting Sidney Rice to save cap space.

PFT is piggybacking from a report by Ian Rappaport about a "possible" slight tear in his hip labrum... Possible and definite are two completely different things.. possible is lazy reporting that gives him an out if the 2nd opinion comes back w/o a tear..

Harvin on PUP for an undisclosed hip injury is much more accurate and responsible in my opinion.

Simon won't play a down this season. He's being red shirted and that was likely the plan when they drafted him.

Yep, but "Harvin Could Need Surgery" generates more traffic, and PFT is still a rumor site at heart.
