Here is a stat that that blows my mind:

Seattle punter Ryan has had 15 yards of return yardage on 11 of his punt that have been returned. He's punted 44 times- so I would say that 33 punts were not attempted to be returned- anyway, he has a 1.4 yard average return on his punts.

When Pete said they were "trying to do things better than they have ever been done" he wasn't exaggerating.

It's actually less than 1 yard per return but because of the way the NFL factors in touchbacks, fair catches and kicks going out of bounds, it raises the average up. Huge props to the gunners for always getting downfield to make the returners think twice. Then you've got Hauschka leading the league in scoring, his only black mark being a single FG block that wasn't even his fault. And he's shown that he can hit 50 yarders with a little room to spare. Plus we've got Tate and Harvin doing return duties on our side.

This may be one of the best special teams units ever; it's quite remarkable. I hope they get a little more recognition somewhere along the way this season.
