A few ways they could go....

The two rookie O-linemen Bowie and Bailey

Probably the new DT doesn't play yet and we know Clemons won't play. That's 4.

3 more.

The two undrafted rookies, Mayowa and Lotulelei.

I don't think they'll dress 5 RBs so they'll sit Coleman with Michael active, although I can see Coleman playing if he adds more to ST

So the 7 inactives ---

Bowie, Bailey, Clemons, Mayowa, Smith, Lotulelei, and Michael (OK I think Coleman over Michael).

I don't know about Mayowa ... we need all pass rushers on deck.

Although Bennett, Schofield and (hopefully) Avril isn't the worst thing in the world so who knows.

I still think they baby step Avril if the reports are true and he's not way ahead of schedule, Hamstrings in a humid environment where you can dehydrate quick may be prone to reinjury.

I wouldn't mind if Avril is in the inactive list this week. But we're gonna need him vs the whiners though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Michael is our main kick returner. So I think he's in.

I would be - (a) He didn't do it much during the pre-season and (b) Pete said today it's Kearse.

Well, I guess that's what I get for not paying attention.

Wouldn't be surprised if Michael is actually the one listed as inactive among the RB group. Coleman and Ware may split snaps at FB and both have been impressive on special teams. Lynch and Turbin are no brainers for active roster. Kearse has apparently won the KR competition. That leaves Michael as odd man out.

LOL!!! No coaches never lie. Why would he? lol you just look ignorant. Tell me, why would he lie? What would make a coach lie to the media? lol, hahaha.

Could be Williams depending on Rice's health. He doesn't play ST's otherwise I think you've got it pretty well dialed.

Coleman will not be inactive. He's our starting FB. Far more likely that Wrae or Michael is inactive.

Isnt Coleman plugged in as our starting fullback over Ware right now? I just assumed based on how raw the latter looked in preseason.

Even if Avril is a go, I'd expect Mayowa to be active. You'd like to have some depth just in case, especially with Avril being rushed back in such a scenario.

Clemons (inj), Avril (inj), Hill (inj), Lotulelei, Ware, Bowie (inj), and D Smith.

If Avril is a go, I'm thinking another LB or DB would be inactive. I just don't think he'll suit up. He hasn't even really played this offseason.

I'm a little surprised the grammar police aren't out in full force this holiday weekend.

One thing about Pete is he doesn't lie. Seriously. Ever.

No, but really, if he says something, and isn't just hinting at something, it's usually true. So unless Kearse gets hurt or something, I would expect him to be returning if that's what Pete said.
