Preseason game 1, Jalen Milroe vs Cam Miller?

Hawks will meet the Raiders in game 1 of the preseason, quite sure that Macdonald won't play Darnold. This is a game for mostly Milroe and a little bit of Lock on our side, mostly Cam Miller and a little bit of Aidan O'Connell for them. In a game of Milroe vs Miller, who will play better?

For me, I couldn't wait to see Milroe showcase his 75 mph ball velocity, Mahomes topped out at 62 mph.

Which rookie will shine in this meaningless game?

Wrong. Milroe was drafted right where he should have been. No matter how much you deny it and/or just flat out don't like him as a QB. And that's fine. 6th round? Come on Rat, you're just making stuff up now. If the Hawks didn't take him in the 3rd, someone else would have.
He brings way too much to the table as an athlete that can be used for his legs. No way in hell he was making it to the 4th round.

Couldn't disagree more, but that's ok. He was drafted right where he should have.
If he played for Ohio State, would you feel the same? Honest question. You digging your feet in the sand like this guy is a 6th round talent is a trip.
Hopefully some crow will be on the Recipe. I think you're massively underestimating what he can bring to the table with his legs.

Like to see Darnold vs Geno in the first half, both respective QB's need to get used to a new offense. Want to see our #1 defense vs Raiders starting offense, a first look at Emmanwori.
Lock in the 3rd, Milroe finish out the 4th.
I would give Darnold ample time in the 3 preseason games to get him a running start for game 1 vs 49ers and the season.
If they are going to carry three QB's (& I think they should) a quarter each game for Lock and Milroe should be enough to sort things out a bit.
Regardless who is under center, they will be looking at how comfortable they are with the offense, sustained scoring drives, all that stuff.
If Darnold doesn't have the offense humming like a well oiled machine in August then a lot of these 12-5/11-6 predictions in May won't look so promising.
It's hard to say what will bring the most excitement, Darnold's first TD throw or Milroe's first big run. Maybe even a Beastmode run by Martinez. If Milroe drops a 65 yard bomb with that big, accurate arm of his the pot will officially be stirred.
Gonna be fun.

Last preseason, Geno didn't play in the first two preseason games, despite having a brand new offensive coordinator and new playbook. I'm not confident we'll be seeing much of Darnold in the preseason.
