Trent hasn't been available due to WSH's FO and especially Snyder, but if they actually tank against MIA (who actually is trying to tank) I'd expect an attitude shift pretty quickly.
I expect one of the reasons Shan said that at that time had to do with chemistry. You get talent like that, you don't release them. So then someone who was clicking with the team might have to be cut sooner than what the team wanted even though he was basically OK. That was more true then than now, though, esp if they waive/trade CJB or perhaps Solly.
From what I've seen, the OL functions more as a unit than any other positional group. IOW, if this was Bosa, obviously more concern, but with OLs you can shift to the left/right/put extra help (well that's getting somewhat thin) in place. Remember Jordan Devey (the tuba player) who was in with I think Jonathan Martin? Released, everyone thought he was a disaster, but he did ok with Raiders until getting hurt this season, five years later.
I think it's fixable for the next few weeks though not necessarily in the next four days sadly. I say that b/c I'd rather contend with them then against the Rams.
