It's sad that our society has gotten to the point where the majority thinks that there has to be a villain behind every corner of every building.
Yeah...but McVay is the perfect villain.

I think the NFL would have made more money with the Vikings progressing. The Rams @ anywhere on the East Coast isn't a tv draw. The NFL would like the Lions to progress to the Championship game, but if they don't then they don't.

I try to think the game is pure. I voted “I have a hard time…”.

But, I’ve seen some questionable shit over the years. Not just with the Rams but with KC vs Cincinnati.

I semi-sort of follow Cincinnati and have been to more of their games than Hawks games simply because I live about 30 minutes outside of there. Of course, I try to catch at least one Hawks road game a year as we’re within a five or so hour radius of several teams. Detroit, Indy, Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati ofc… Pitt, Tennessee and Atlanta aren’t too far off for a road trip either.

I digress…KC vs Cincinnati is almost scripted. Guaranteed to see a pass interference while Mahomes is chucking the ball down field. Or, to give Mahomes a free play, I’ve seen some stuff where your left scratching your head.

I block out the thought that games aren’t ‘rigged’ as I want to believe the game is pure.

A bit late here but, this topic is still very relevant.

Never waste a good crisis.

The money being made through donations to "foundations" alone makes keeping LA around worth it for the snakes.

I don’t think this year. I think the year the sb is in LA the Rams will 100% be in it. I’m betting big money. Mfl can’t help themselves. Prob be against KC also. KC looking for its whatever in a row.

I agree. If the object is to get the best possible TV draw by 'steering games', they're doing a piss poor job of it.

For one, the biggest draw in the league by far are the Dallas Cowboys, which is why they appear in Prime Time so often. Why is it that the Cowboys haven't come within sniffing distance of even a conference championship game in 30 frigging years?

Cowboys don't revenue share....Nfl hates that.

Welp.. the Chiefs are 7-0 with the same ref they had vs the Texans, and threw flags when damn near anyone breathed on Mahomes. Meanwhile in the lions and commanders goff was a damn near a sex toy being pounded into the dirt with .. little to no flags.

NFLVegas has arrived.

Oh, I agree about the roughing call. That was one of the lamest calls of the season, complete horseshit. And I do agree that the refs tend to at least subconsciously favor the 'star', in this case, Patrick Mahomes. But that's a long, long way from an organized conspiracy with Roger Goodell standing behind the curtains pulling cables and throwing levers.

I don't think so...just a few questionable calls can alter a game significantly...unless you thought Big Ben was in for that td in XL*....

I still don't believe the conspiracy theories, but it's getting to the point where there is a significant percentage of fans that are seriously questioning the possibility. Social media has exploded. I actually might even be in the minority. Objective analysts are almost in united agreement that the Chiefs are the recipient of some absolutely huge blown calls.

Regardless of the conspiracy aspect, it's getting to the point where it's doing some serious damage to the integrity of the game and people are losing confidence. It's as bad as I've seen it since XL.

Looks like the conspiracy theories are taking a bit of a hit this weekend.

Some people were posting yesterday that the NFL wanted the Lions in the NFCCG/SB, now the Lions are out without winning even a single playoff game.

Some people have been claiming, since the fires started, that the NFL would rig games to get the Rams to the NFCCG/SB because of the whole "LAStrong" story line or whatever, and now the Rams are out.

It'd be interesting to hear how these results get rationalized away while still clinging to the belief that you weren't wrong and it's all still totes rigged to achieve the result that the NFL/Vegas wants. Which is apparently an Eagles/Commanders NFCCG. Because that's a super desirable matchup?

Having the Chiefs beat LA in the super bowl would be a bad look especially for a franchise that has a fringe fan base like LA. It makes sense KC beats Philly.

Lol, You've been claiming since the fires started that the NFL was going to rig it to get the Rams to the SB because of the LAStrong story line. That's quite the abrupt change to your narrative.
