As much as I think he's good I'd let him walk for the $ he'll want. I would put DJ Reed in and some of the other up and comers. Sherman says he's probably gone from SF so if the price is right....

Matters on the price and who else is a available.
He’s average IMHO.

Matters solely on price. I like Shaq but, I think we've seen his peak. That's not a bad thing. He's a good corner.

But, he's not an 8 figure corner.

He's a good, but not great corner. Depends on the contract.

I like Shaq a lot as a person, and he's been solid as a CB. Not great, but solid.
Tre has been showing improvement and I really like what I've seen from Reed. Also think Neal could be a good corner, even though he's not as tall as Pete prefers.
Blair could do anything. He's just GOOD!

He's not a CB1 , but more like a CB2. As a replacement of Flowers he's fine , but still depends on who's available.

Not for CB1 money. We might take a slight step back in talent in whoever we find to replace him but I'd rather see us invest the money up front. The opposing qb can't expose our pass d if he is on his ass or constantly running for his life.

He's definitely not a nickle corner.

He's in the right spot for him. Part if his problem is us. Fans expect players to be perfect, and that's not realistic.

Definitely is a nickel corner. Quickest cb and best at staying with a reciever.

A factor that hasn't been mentioned here is Quem.

We all know that Quem would have stayed cut if it was a normal season. We all know Quem won't stay for 2021. He couldn't play his position on the active roster effectively and there are too many special teams aces (rookies) to really accommodate a stb veteran.

That goes against how Quill/Quem have lived their whole lives now, including their lives as grown men. They have always managed to stay together, in the same house, playing for the same team. They are extraordinarily vested in it, perhaps more than many long-term married couples. And the Hawks, or some other team, will eventually force a breakup.

Quill is just ok, so any dip in performance from grief or whatever he feels about this would make him rapidly not ok. I can't see cutting Quem for 2020, because 2020, but before any extension is even discussed there needs to be a frank discussion between Quill and FO that there's no chance of his brother remaining on the Hawks even if Quill is retained.
