No bubble screens to a wr only for the D to blow up the play completely.

One play, though I did not like was rolling Geno out in the end zone for a play that takes time to develop only for him to get sacked for safety. Rookie offensive mistake.

Bad play call, but Geno didn't get sacked for the safety. Our LG Bradford got called for a holding penalty in the end zone.

Soooo happy to see the ILB's respond and attack in such a fluid manner. Dodson impressed in pre-season but we had not seen Baker, so it was hard to know if he would follow-up on his success in Miami. Both showed an amazing improvement over our ILB performance from last year. Look, I love BWags and everything he did for our franchise. I fully expect to see him in the HOF, surrounded by the LOB and might even get a bit misty. But it was clear that he lost 1-2 steps in coverage last year, adding to the high potential, low realization defense.

Yeah, I think it's fair to say that in this case while we may have taken a step back in pure 'talent' level at ILB, the sum is much greater than its parts.

Charles Cross. He was absolutely mauling guys in the running game.

This is good to read. It was the concern with him coming out. Good technician with great pass blocking fundamentals but not powerful enough to be a great run blocker.

Yes, I was mistaken, it was a holding call on Bradford but having a QB run in the end zone for a while you’re asking for that call.

Ridiculous play call. Why in the eff would you call for a shotgun, from the 1, with THAT o-line getting pushed around the 1st half?
And to make it worse, they did it AGAIN.
Take the damn ball under center, do a sneak or run it up the gut.

AJ Barner. His blocking was excellent. Much better than what he displayed in that final preseason game. Night and day.

I wanted to comment on Tyrel Dodson specifically. He had a few series where I needed a Google search to remind me who number 0 is. 9 tackles and a TFL, also a PD. He brought the lumber also. I'm excited for him and am guessing he gets to sign the bottom line at some point.
