Harvin probable, which means he’ll play against Vikings

Posted by Darin Gantt on November 15, 2013, 4:24 PM EST
Percy Harvin, Pete Carroll
AP

The Seahawks are going to get the weapon back that they hardly need.

The team announced that wide receiver Percy Harvin (hip) was probable for Sunday’s game. That means it’s a virtual certainty that he’ll play against his old team, the Vikings.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Harvin “has a chance” to play. We can only hope Carroll didn’t sprain anything trying to keep a straight face while he said it.

While they’ll doubtless want to ease Harvin back in after his preseason hip surgery, they’re probably as eager to see him as he is to see the team that traded him rather than giving him a contract extension.

I guess this answers the bay area question of "who's got it better than us?".

Good news all the way around. This was the final hurdle for Harvin to jump before getting on the field, and he cleared it.

I still expect Pete and Daryll to be extra careful with where Percy lines up. I expect no more than 15 snaps, and none of the snaps with Percy lined up the backfield (unless it's to motion out or be a decoy) or for KO returns.

Amazing news, and while I'm right in the middle of finals week I can't wait to see Percy as a Hawk!

Any of you going to watch the game?

You ask questions like that while waiting for the nitrous to wear off after a dentists appt.

Everyone healthy is a great problem to have!

Now, who does PC activate? That'd be a tougher issue with Okung and Breno coming back, but maybe not at full strength.

It sounded like Okung was good to go weeks ago or at least closer than Breno but the IR rules tied the hands for while on that one.

Also, on Harvin, I think we are doing the old bait and switch move this week and he'll get a lot more looks and touches than they are advertising.
