Peter King says it might not actually be adderall

Fact is, Irvin never said he took adderal.

His only claim was that, "he'd been caught taking something without a Doctor's prescription".

Pretty vague (on his part).

Rush-to-judgement on the actual substance (by the sporting press).

And nutty for King to even call Irvin a "liar", when the man never said what it was he got nailed-for.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think what's going on is this: Player wants to take HGH, testosterone, whatever. If caught, he knows the league cannot comment on the substance so he takes the more socially acceptable Adderall in conjunction (hey, a little focus to go with the new bulk...all G).
Player gets popped for HGH (etc) as well as the Adderall. Player is not lying when / if he announces that he was busted for Adderall. Half truth, but not a lie.

On the subject of HGH...I'm for it. Let them all take it. It's biggest benefit is rapid recovery from extensive work outs and injury. WTH's wrong with that?

According to one of Seattle's sports radio station host I was listening to yesterday, they confirmed Irvin's PED use being adderall. I think it was either Mitch or Softy on KJR.

There's nothing too confirm. The NFL is unable to share the results of the drug test.

They are unable to share with the public, but I'm sure Seattle's front office knows what Irvin tested positive for, so it stand to reason it's possible to confirm if Softy has a reliable source within the organization.

Edit: that's not to say Softy's source is right tho.

Did he rage and break his girlfriends face? No, and as long as that doesn't happen I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't roids.

Oh man, I remember ECA stacks. We used to hit the gym for 2 + hours in the Marine Corps with that.

I'm still bummed they banned Ephedrine.

So Adderall does the same thing ?

they pretty much do the same thing in regards to workouts...increased energy, and shutting out the noise to keep you focused and single-minded about it.

It's easy to just assume people are doing something worse and then blaming adderall but at the same time how many players might be taking adderall as a workout boost that, should they get caught, they can honestly just blame on adderall and never have to worry about steroid use accusations leaking and adding that permanent label to them?

Once you've worked out with an ECA stack, adderall, or other stimulant that shuts out the noise, any other workout you do is always going to feel inadequate.

I just worked out on adderall last weekend(took it to study and worked out later that night) and I COMPLETELY disagree. I'm pretty curious if you've ever actually taken adderall. I've never known someone to take it for reasons other than studying/staying up later to party.

Just to answer an earlier question: a player coming out and claiming it was one thing does NOT give the NFL the right to disclose the actual drug.

There are a ton of privacy laws that go into these type of processes and compliance is tantamount in this field. This isn't like a court of law where you basically waive certain rights of privacy if you make an issue of them. Irvin's claims or implications do not have that kind of effect.

Has it occurred to you that maybe, just maybe Irvin is a homosexual?

The assumptions in this thread and in this case just sicken me.

So you're saying BFS still has a chance with Irvin?
