Bevell had a nice game calling plays, and his players executed those plays.

Bevell did call a game that amassed over 400 yards. Used some interesting quick pass formations. I especially liked that mini bunch formation they used across from Revis to free up Doug. He did this without an offensive line. Like almost literally. Lost Bowie, Carp and Unger for portions of this game. Thought he called a good game against St. Louis too; we just couldn't execute the plays.

He has to defend the playcalling on the Public Airwaves, and in any interview, there's probably talk behind the doors that we'd like to hear... But the pass towards the endzone from the 3 yard line on 1st and goal was not a good call... Lynch would have taken it in on the ground from the 3 yard line, either on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down... Worse case scenario, Field Goal... But, throwing a fairly low pass into the hands of a tall defender up close, almost cost us the whole game...I've never been a fan of passing within the 5 yard line...Too easy to throw into close coverage... :roll:

The final numbers show that, but Lynch only had 10 carries before our final TD drive in the 4th Quarter. The numbers were vastly changed by him using Lynch like crazy in the final drive and OT.

The ONE play I hated was the pass at the 3 yard line. I want the Beast with the ball at that point and I do NOT understand him not getting it. This is 2 weeks in a row now, c'mon Bevell.

Yeah that right there is saving his ass .
Still no excuse to not give lynch the ball on first and goal that was utter bull crap . I'm not a fan of his play calling and a W to a winless team doesn't change the fact .

This ignores a lot of factors. One, Lynch sat out a bunch of plays because he got sick during the second quarter. Two, we fell behind by 21 points and had to speed up the offense. Three, our run D couldn't stop Tampa, and they were dominating TOP until the very end of the game.

I don't know how anyone could watch that game and say that we were consciously shying away from the run game.
