this version of Adams with the other talent in the Hawks defensive backfield right now is literally LOB2.
Rite
And probably the exact reason so many of us have been tolerating his unavailability.
I think most of us recognize the potential.

A lot of it has to do with ego. It would be easy for you or me to cut him as we're not the ones that sold the farm to get him. But for Pete and John, to cut Adams would be to admit failure. And I'm not saying that to take a cheap shot at them, just that they're human beings, too, and none of us like having to fess up to big mistakes like that.So why didn't they post JUN 1 Adams, save cap space AND keep Ryan Neal?
Fricken' ridiculous.
Jamal Adams has been the textbook definition of Sunk Cost Fallacy.
I don't see this as a sunk-cost fallacy. There is more to the equation than what's been invested. For example, his actual value relative to the next best alternative, the cost of moving on from him, and the potential benefits of keeping him. Considering the Seahawks have shown a willingness to move on from players in similar situations, it's safe to assume they view Adams as someone worth holding on to. And it seems cynical to believe they've come to that conclusion because of sunk costs. So why didn't they post JUN 1 Adams, save cap space AND keep Ryan Neal?

At this point, my best guess, without knowing much about his injury or how Adams's recovery is going, is that they haven't cut him because they simply can't cut him because the CBA doesn't allow it. If they want to get rid of him, they have to hope he's ready to play before the season starts so they can cut him and get a little cap space this year. But if he won't be back in time for the start of the season and the Seahawks already know that, then they're on the hook for his whole 2023 salary, so they're also on the hook for his full $18.11M cap number ($11M of salary plus $7.11M of prorated signing bonus).
I've never quite heard the quad described as such.It was a catastrophic injury. The quad tendon is a massive piece of connective tissue.
Let it be-we are well prepared for it this year. Anything he can add will be nice especially come playoff time. Probably his last season to justify any future investment.![]()
Will Jamal Adams be ready for start of season?
The Seahawks still can't say for certain whether safety Jamal Adams will be ready to play by the start of the season.profootballtalk.nbcsports.com
You still haven't. We are talking about the tendon.I've never quite heard the quad described as such.
A borderline hall of fame running back for a DB that never played a down for us is the worst trade in Seahawks history.Just cut him already and admit you made the worst trade in Seahawk history and move on.
