I’m sure he still has the passion to coach but, it reminds me of an old neighbor of mine. He simply couldn’t retire as he was a busy body.

He was so focused on work…ended up getting a divorce at age 77 and passed away a few years later with millions in the bank.

He treated himself to a classic car here and there but…till this day, I feel like he worked himself to death.

I hope PC is enjoying life..enjoying his family…there’s not much left to ‘prove’. He should be hitting the HOF in the near future..SB winning coach that turned an entire city around.

Nothing but the utmost respect for him. His energy is/was unparalleled.

I actually pray for this dude…that he’s found a way to enjoy the rest of his life and is content.

I had to check it wasn't dated 1st April! Pete was a great coach but he will be 74 by week 2 of the 2025 season and the successes the report talks about will be 10 or more years in the past. I know Pete was DC for the 49ers in a previous millenium but I think he has been a Seahawk for so long he would take a job with a divisional rivals.
So know way would the 49ers want him and no way would Pete accept it it was.

Pete will either stay as an exec for the Seahawks or retire from the game. I would actually love for him to be an analyst on TV but they tend to go to ex players.

Pete would be perfect for the Fox pregame show.

Thoughts on the article?

Another failing soul at masquerading as a want to be Journalist.
Very heavy on blaming this or that as a lead in to making click bait predictions.
A lack in any depth of understanding of subject matter.

I'd give Pete a job as DC in which he can focus all his time and energy on that only.
