CJ is going to need more than a healthy offseason to overcome the perception that he's made of glass.
Like 2 or 3 complete seasons with no games missed.

Maybe this is the start. They need one of those signs seen at the entrance to a factory:

It Has Been "68 Days" Since the Last CJ Prosise Injury

He is done as a RB that ship sailed..
He might make it at a less taxing position like I dunno?
Maybe an assistant to an assistant of a position coach?

I really enjoy following training camp and anticipating that first preseason tryout. Perceptions so often change once they step on to the reality of the practice field. This year's running back competition should be a big plus this year.

“He has been fit throughout, he’s really strong, worked out really hard in the offseason to get his strength right, and his weight is up, but he’s fit and has really been able to do a little bit of everything.

He will absolutely kill it in the preseason this year, make the team, and will end up on the pup list with hurt feelings.

Which is sad. The kid obviously has talent, and we rag on him a lot here but it is what it is.

Im pulling for him

He should move to WR. At least part time.

Calling all charter members of the CJ Prosise fan club... have you gotten your Prosise jersey yet?
Buy them now, before the price goes up! After this year... the price will for sure go up! I got mine (seriously, I do have one, a real Prosise 22 jersey) and am just waiting for the opportunity to wear it for a game where he's healthy, active and getting reps and making plays. It's been a hella long wait...

This just could be the year Prosise stays mostly healthy and gets on the field. I've long felt that the 'Hawks weren't telling us the whole story on his injuries; I mean there is something wrong with this picture that he's still on the team after the string of injuries and unavailability. I think there are some dirty little secrets that only Pete, CJ, and the 'Hawks front office know about the situation, and the team equivalent of a gag order on those in the know. Remember a few years back how Pete acted frustrated in press conferences, when asked about Percy Harvin and his weird injury situation? Harvin was a malingerer, IMO. I don't get that vibe from Pete re: Prosise. The Seahawks are just trying to get him healthy again. Someday we'll get the whole story. Maybe Prosise's "abdominal surgery" during the offseason will finally correct whatever the underlying issue is.

In the meantime, please enjoy some CJ Prosise highlights, if you are wondering why the 'Hawks have kept him around. If he can just get healthy, he will be an amazing weapon to have.
2016 stats: Rushing 5.7 YPC, Receiving: 89.5% catch rate

I think I'll just repost these and other CJ highlights vids in every "Cut Prosise!" thread from here on, as a reminder.
My only regret is that there aren't yet more Seahawks highlights, and nearly all are from 2016. Hoping for some new CJ highlights in 2019.

Except that if he "kills it" in preseason, he can't be on PUP. And if he's not PUP for pre, he can't be PUP for the regular season.

The eternal optimism that Carroll has for Prosise ; now in its 4th year is repetitious , predictable and counter productive for the team.

I'd be thrilled if this dude came outta the shadows and surprised the league due to being all but written off.

That's the point of CJ's entire career, not enough anything..............other than trips to the inactive list.

I wouldn't be shocked if Homer beats out Prosise in the pre-season and he's cut or traded for a 7th rounder. I know Pete's still holding out hope that he can be the star he thinks he was when we drafted him, but holy moly four years is enough of a sample size for me.

I don't know why so many find this confusing. Prosise is under contract on a dirt cheap rookie deal and when he gets hurt we stick him on IR where he doesn't take up a roster slot. We'd obviously spend the draft pick on somebody else if we had a time machine, but now that he's on our team there's minimal downside to just hanging onto him and seeing if we can get any return on that investment before the rookie deal expires.

If Prosise makes the team as our third round back over McKissic and Homer than it's because he's better. We can stash either of them on the practice squad until Prosise gets hurt.
