Well, being held out for one reason or another has worked for him so far, might as well keep trying it.

Time for this player to find another area of employment. He has become a comedy byline, and just cannot stay healthy.

Too bad because he has genuine ability, when he is healthy but that is impossibly rare.

I'd rather have a dependable but less talented player who shows up than a talented player who is perpetually unavailable.

You want him to get everyone else sick?

Or the team to let him?

Fact is Prosise misses more then a blind man putting on a golf course. No I don't want a sick person infecting the rest of the team, but there is some irony here. The one person that Pete has said was nice to have healthy in camp and he misses the first day because he is unhealthy no matter the reason.

And seriously, who gets the flu in the summer?

He was back practicing today. 24 hr flu?

When I was a kid playing hockey in the prairies, we'd occasionally have to go play the native teams from the reservation. Everyone knew they played older kids on their teams (no birth records anywhere). Seeing 12 year olds with moustaches was not an unusual sight. They were big and tough and generally beat the crap out of whatever team came in to play them. After a while players on my team would not show up for those road games. We called it the "Native Flu". I think Prosise has a similar condition.

He probably had to go get one more medical clearance from his offseason abdominal surgery.
Or maybe he was on the trading block and being held out of practiced until trade talks ended one way or another.
Conclusion: Potential suitor didn't offer enough, CJ is back at practice.

Well two things I want to happen either or really, he explodes on the scene and makes things tough for Pete with Carson, Penny and himself, with one year left and doing what we seen in NE he could be a pretty decent trade candidate by the end of pre season, if he explodes.....

At this point if we keep him we roll the dice every week on him and then need to resign him next year, I think our RB's in the wings bring a equal skill set for a 3rd down back at this point.

I have harped on this before and this season we have a lot of youth trying to work their way on the roster at WR, but I think that would be his best position still and then a cameo at RB for a change up.

Try to keep him healthy and productive during preseason-I know a long shot...then trade for a D-lineman. Best case scenario.

Can't be correct, he'd miss at least 3 days with a hangnail.

I'm totally rooting for CJ and a chance to rock my Prosise jersey in a week when he'll be playing meaningful minutes in a regular season game.

I'm just not really buying the feel-good BS that the off season surgery will be a difference maker. We can always hope...

Any optimistic story re this guy reminds me of Cable's preseason press conferences: "this is the best group we have had so far."

Every freaking year!

This is exactly where I'm at as well. Anyone claiming a miracle surgery will bring out the iron man inside him is seriously leading with their chin.
