Im far more concerned about Schotty.

HIm to but a good coach would have realized what was happening and stepped in if this was Schotty and that goes back to PC again.

But remember when he was a good coach and let Schotty take over the offense?

Much of social media is but a transcript of knee jerk reactions.

I've seen many of these Boo Hoo dance-a-thons after a loss or disappointment.

Great does not change the fact that we waited too long to adjust and that still fall son PC, Again not saying fire him, just saying he needs to adjust quicker.

I dont disagree. But at this level there has to be a lot of trust handed to coordinators as well.

Any blame on Pc would be the hiring of PC or giving schotty control of the offense.

So, you're saying that you're in favor of them doing the same exact play, over, and over again, and going three and out? It wasn't working, when a play doesn't work YOU ADJUST. There was no adjustments made, it was the same play over, and over again. We rarely tried pushing it to the outside either, or running counters and what have you. The one time we did Penny busted off for a huge gain.

Passing was our only way we were moving the ball. If running is not working you adjust, we did not. We ran up the middle on the first, and second down, then on third and long we ran long developing pass plays that never had the chance to develop putting our Quarterback in a bad situation. In Carolina we faced a similar situation, and we let Wilson pass, guess what? We won when we switched things up.

....and it didn't work in Denver, Chicago or SF.

I'm merely saying yes maybe we should have opened up the offense after halftime and had more success. You guys are saying it absolutely WOULD have worked.......and not sure how you can come to that conclusion when our history, playcalling and personnel says that is not a successful formula.

BINGO.

And I'll add that Wilson should be at a point in his career where he can start play calling more and more himself.

Tom Brady has been doing just that for years to great effect.

Unless Wilson's understanding on the field isn't to Brady's level?

I don't know that but Wilson seems to be a pretty bright guy so why not?

I love Pete. Best HC we’ve ever had.

His record alone indicates he's the best we've ever had.

The question is has the welcome worn long?

After this unexpectedly fun season I'm leaning toward no but I know many disagree and want him gone.

Wilson gone? Pete gone? Both gone?

Crazy to imagine...

Because when we did it in this game it worked as I already pointed out. Every scoring drive started with or mixed in the pass beyond run, run, pass on 3rd and long. That showed in this game against this team it worked but chose to wait till it was too late to do it consistently

So because there was an outlier of the facts backed up by years of statistical evidence to show the contrary, it would have worked?

History has shown that when we become predictable throwing the ball Russell gets destroyed and we don't win. This team was, is and will forever be under Pete to win a certain way.................elite defense and ball control offense.

If you want to talk about mixing up the playcalling more, trying more screens, bubble screens, pitch outs and trying to be more creative after halftime? I'm all ears.

But to abandon the run and just hand the ball over the Russell to try to throw it all over the place? Nope, that has never been a recipe for success, not how with the O-line and team is built.

The Seahawks coaches are getting clowned universally on the internet, and rightfully so.

Must be some mistake. Pete is a front runner for coach of the year, and Schotty is HC material and will take over for Pete. :sarcasm_off:

That dude blocked me for my political views so I can't see what he said. But Im guessing Wilson's agent is just doing his job trying to get his client more money.

So is he blaming himself then or flip flopping Schotty? I thought we were holding people accountable this year, sounds like PC is still riding the fence and not trying to offend anyone.

It didn’t really seem like he was blaming himself, but he also defended schotty. So kind of a grey area of nothingness. He said they asked too much of injured players, Fluker and Sweezy, and that they were a step behind. He also said 3rd downs prevented them from playing the game they wanted on offense. They did not ask Pete about efficiency or probability of success on those plays (or sheer number of situations).

When asked about use of ‘analytics’, Pete said it was important and proceeded to name turnover ratio . . .

It didn't work against the Cardinals.

I have no idea why they thought it would work in the playoffs against a playoff team.

To be able to run when the opposing team is selling out against the run? You have to be faced with some teams with problems stopping the run or problems on the D as a whole. So we probably should not be surprised.

Still, at the beginning of the year we expected a 7-9/8-8 team and got a 10 win team.

I don't think but half the fans thought we would make the playoffs at the start of the year.

The issue was in making the playoffs, we had an Ace up our sleeve that we refused to use. At least a few times in the first half, it made sense to try given our offense was generating nothing otherwise.

We were the wildcard. It is no shame losing the wildcard at the underdog at the opposing home field. But it was how we lost, that we never even bothered using our best hands until it was far too late.

Does Pete not understand the reason for this was predictably running on 1st & 2nd down leading to 3rd and longs which are extremely hard to convert?

Pete might be delusional.

He is blaming not converting 3rd downs, but is failing to connect a single dot.

It's not hard Pete.

We passed on earlier downs more against Dallas Sunday than we did in the first matchup, almost twice as much. Sando did a breakdown.

DwUZjS9XcAA4ZRA

Were we too predictable and stubborn on changing up the gameplan and playcalling going into the 2nd half? Absolutely. But for the people who just wanted more early down passing, we tried that too, and it also didn't work.

Give Dallas credit, their front seven REALLY played well, and I'm not sure just abandoning the run and trying to pass more would have resulted in better results...........as our O-line was getting destroyed by obvious passing downs by the Cowboy's front.
