Scheduled for 9:30. I doubt there will be much to be learned (outside of possible injury updates) today since we don't play this week, but I'll try to update what I hear as long as work doesn't interrupt my listening.

Here's my take on what he said:

Obviously thought it was a great day yesterday. Said earning their way to the division title made it that much more special and was a huge accomplishment.

Said he told Bevell to "play to the defense" at halftime yesterday. Basically it sounded to me that he knew our defense had total control and wanted more ball control on offense.

On Kam...Always been a good football player who is "so on his game right now". Said he's always in position to make plays and makes statements with his hits and those hits help them with players looking over their shoulders later in the game. Says Kam is the example of how to play to play the game within the rules

He said it was "amusing" getting the opportunities from all the Rams penalties yesterday.

On Harvin....Any chance to put him on IR? Pete said we'll know more by the middle of the week. Said he'll need the offseason to get back to full strength but we'll have a fabulous player when he does get there. (My take is that we will likely IR him but keep him going forward)

Said they felt that the Rams had a first class pass rush but Wilson did a good job overall. Said they got us some plays and we were able to get them some plays.

Loves how Tate has grown into the player he is now vs when he first came in the league. Talked about the big hit on a screen pass. Said he brings a real excitement to the game and that he's the real deal.

Asked if there was any moment to reflect on how we've done so far? Said he felt we left a little something out there and that we could have and should have won every game this season. Very excited about the defense's record breaking scoring season. Reflected on how a lot of our young talent is coming into their own. Said best of all the team is taking this season in stride and that they expect to be where we are and they are mentally prepared to handle it.

Sherman was a bit sore but he's ok.. Willson has a "legitimate" high ankle sprain...said he's going to try to work through it over the off time and they HOPE to have him back but they'll have to wait and see

Thanks for the update. I agree about leaving something out there and we should have won every game. I really think we need to go TE/WR in the draft to help the offense out, we just aren't deep enough there.

My take on what Pete said about Harvin is this: I think that he still is hoping that Harvin will be able to make it back for the playoffs, but doesn't think it's likely....and even if he does, he'll be at 80% or something like it. I also get the impression that Harvin is about out of time, and if there isn't any further reason for optism on Weds, he does go on IR. I also get the impression that one of the reasons Harvin hasn't gone on IR is because Harvin desperately wants to get out and prove he's got it this season.

Just my take and opinion.

Oh about the triple DB collision in the Endzone, Pete said that if it happens again, he expect the same thing to happen. "There is no calling off in football." He wants his DBs playing full out all the time, and let the consequences be what they will be.

I like that take, and without hearing the interview but based on past information, I completely agree with it.

Harvin at 80% in the SuperB Owl could make all the difference in winning it all. And if he does, then he will be worth every penny and draft pick paid out.

That's pretty much what my take was as well. I was just trying to type everything out while listening so I didn't go into too much depth. He really didn't sound optimistic about Harvin for this year, but seemed to be holding out a slim chance for hope for the playoffs. I agree that he won't be 100% at any point this season, but Pete did seem genuinely excited for the prospect of Harvin for the future, so I put the chances of us cutting him at slim to none, so putting him on IR and guaranteeing his money next season isn't the reason why he's still active. I honestly believe that they want to give him every opportunity to be able to help us in our run this year, no matter how slight the chances.

I just heard the most ridiculous caller. He called in complaining about the passing game and voiced his concern for the team moving forward, because of our lack of a passing game. Of all things, that?

I'm guessing a new Seahawk fan or new to the NFL.

Or it could be one of the several posters who have been very vocal about their displeasure with our offense that I've seen in the Gameday forum over the last 3-4 weeks. There always seems to be a few debbie downers, even in a season such as this. Personally I'm enjoying this ride for all that it is until it's over. Once we played our final game, then I'll reflect back both positively and negatively....for now, this is one ride I'm taking full advantage of

Amen to that! I worry too much and need to just be in the moment. I think that will be my focus.

On Pete saying "Play to the defense" I wonder if he meant for Bevell to take what the Rams defense was giving him?

Really nice work on the updates Kidhawk. Sounds like good news on Sherman and better than expected news on Willson. Any word on Mebane?

I read this as conservative decision making focused on avoiding turnovers. Pete had a lot of praise for Wilson's performance after the game and I think he was really pleased that our offense and special teams did not leave our defense in poor situations.

Why were a lot of people in the game day forum saying Willson broke his leg? because of an aircast? Got to love the overreaction.

Harvin, i'm done with this, go somewhere get better, see you next season.

As far as the offensive woes, I still say we played 3 very good defenses who all have a great pass rush, pressure and the fact that our recievers sometimes struggle to get open will give you games like these. Just be thankful we have a great back and we don't have a statue back there like Palmer.

I agree with the assessment that pete was happy with the lead and didn't want the offense to lose the game, more than he wanted them to try to "impress the crowd". Ball control by then was the most important thing we could have. Our defense wasn't going to lose this game if our offense didn't give it away.

As for Mebane, he wasn't brought up. I kind of had the feeling that if we weren't so deep at Tackle, Mebane could have finished the game. I could be wrong there, but that's just the feeling I had watching him on the sideline when the cameras showed him over there.

I agree and spoke in the chat that you immobilize it to evaluate it later. That is standard operating procedure on any sprain, strain, or possible break. Aircasts are great things when used. Harvin, agree with you. Let him get well and see him in the fall.
Thanks for the posting kidhawk. I appreciate the insights and saw a couple on nwcn too this morning. And to all We are in it to Win it.
