M's roster is deeper than I thought. I'd like to see Jhonny Pereda play some more, but if he keeps playing like he did last night, promoting him over Mitch would almost have to be considered.

I've never been a Mitch fan even when we made the signing. I'm okay at this point keeping Pereda over Mitch when Cal comes back. It just always looks like Mitch doesn't care when at bat

Pereda is earning the respect and trust of the pitching staff. Yet there is value in having a a veteran presence like Mitch around. Doesn't look like either of them can play any other position, except first base, which is the usual catchall position for guys who don't fit elsewhere. But Naylz is there and has been our best 1B in a few years.

Not sure what they'll do, but I understand why it's not as easy a decision as we fanboys might think. Any move could affect team chemistry, which is always something that can be hard to track.
